Arisaig Park
From Halifax, take Hwy 102 to Truro, exit right onto Hwy 104 towards Cape Breton Island. Exit left on #27 just before Antigonish; keep left on road along coast to Arisaig. Look for Provincial park signs and exit left into park. This park offers several nice walking trails, including fossil interpretive displays. Follow trails to the beach and fossil hunt along shoreline (watch tides!), or picnic in the park. This is one of the nicest picnic parks I've seen in Nova Scotia. Washroom facilities (outhouses) and water taps are available.
